Dear all,

We are very pleased to announce that the Call for Contributions for iPres 2022 is now open. iPres is the premier and longest-running conference series on digital preservation. The 18th International Conference on Digital Preservation will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from 12th - 16th September 2022!

iPres 2022 will be a hybrid conference and proposals are welcome whether or not contributors expect to be present on site. We invite original contributions that will develop the theory and practice of digital preservation. These may include scientific models and outcomes of research, creative solutions to shared challenges in daily practice, outcomes of innovative collaborations, state of the art in education, training and work-force development, and insight-oriented institutional and personal progress towards digital preservation goals.

Call for Contributions
We welcome full papers and short papers as well as proposals for workshops, tutorials, posters, panel discussions, hack-a-thons and for the Digital Preservation Bake-Off Challenge. Submissions should relate to the overall conference theme Data for all, for good, for ever: Let Digits Flourish, inviting reflection and debate on how digital preservation can support flourishing communities, ecologies and economies and ideas.

We encourage submissions which describe collaborations across and beyond cultural heritage domains, and we welcome proposals that describe research and practice in agencies of all sizes and in all sectors. We extend a particular welcome to newcomers to iPres and recent entrants into the digital preservation community.

You can find details about the submission process and the conference topics now online at ipres2022.scot. Please remember that this Call will close on 8 March, 2022, and that there is no intention to extend the Call for Contributions beyond this date.
