The Syracuse University Libraries is reconstituting its applicant pool for the position of Digital Preservation Librarian, originally posted in August 2021! We invite applications from creative and inquisitive individuals to join our newly-formed Department of Digital Stewardship who are ready to work closely with our small – but dedicated – cross-organizational Digital Library team to produce, manage, create access to, and preserve our digital content across a variety of platforms and services that comprise our digital library infrastructure. In particular, the Digital Preservation Librarian will lead the Libraries’ digital preservation efforts to ensure long-term preservation and persistent access to the Libraries’ unique digitized and born-digital content, act as the Libraries’ expert in digital preservation practices and processes, and serve as the platform manager for the Libraries’ digital preservation system (Preservica).
