[türkçe versiyonu takip ediyor] The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to share a Turkish translation of its Rapid Assessment Model (RAM),<digipres/implement-digipres/dpc-ram> with thanks to Dr. Özhan Sağlik at Bursa Uludağ University in Turkey and Nathalie Defne Gier and Mustafa Ergül at Koç University in Turkey who generously donated their time to make the resource accessible. Now available as a PDF download in Turkish<http://doi.org/10.7207/dpcram22-01>, the second edition of the DPC RAM is a digital preservation maturity modelling tool that has been designed to enable rapid benchmarking of an organization’s digital preservation capability. “Today, we have not eliminated our hesitations about the future of the information resources created electronically in organizations. However, to eliminate these hesitations, we must adopt digital preservation techniques. Therefore, we need an assessment model to understand the level of digital preservation capabilities of organizations and where they should aim. DPC RAM is an essential resource for this purpose”, explains Özhan Sağlik who created the translated resource. “I am delighted to be able to help make this available to digital preservation colleagues in Turkey.” The Turkish translation of the DPC RAM released today is made available as part of the DPC’s policy and a wider program<docs/miscellaneous/about/2309-dpc-translation-policy> of work to provide better access to support for the practitioners who need it, wherever they are in the world.
