The Mailbag project team is excited to announce an early release of the mailbagit tool. Mailbagit is a command line utility for packaging email exports into mailbags according to the mailbag specification while generating multiple derivative formats, such as PDFs WARCs, and EMLs.

You can find out how to install and use mailbagit on the project website.

If you are interested in some hands-on guidance installing and using mailbagit, we are holding some Virtual Testing events, where anyone who is interested can experiment with using mailbagit with guidance from members of the project team.

Additionally, we have a Call for Contributors out looking for anyone interested in addressing known issues, reviewing code, or improving documentation.

Thanks,

Nathan

The Pennsylvania State University campuses are located on the original homelands of the Erie, Haudenosaunee (Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora), Lenape (Delaware Nation, Delaware Tribe, Stockbridge-Munsee), Shawnee (Absentee, Eastern, and Oklahoma), Susquehannock, and Wahzhazhe (Osage) Nations.  As a land grant institution, we acknowledge and honor the traditional caretakers of these lands and strive to understand and model their responsible stewardship. We also acknowledge the longer history of these lands and our place in that history.
