For the Content Interest Group, May is a month of transition with a fond send-off and thank you to Deb Verhoff as she completes her time as co-chair and a welcome to Deon Schutte as the incoming co-chair.

 

Please join us as Deb leads her final meeting with Scholarship Sharing about preserving news journalism.   Edward McCain, Digital Curator of Journalism and Katherine Boss, Librarian for Journalism, Media, Culture & Communication and Vicky Rampin, Librarian for Research Data Management and Reproducibility will discuss their discoveries in their research.  Please see below for full details!

• Edward McCain is the Digital Curator of Journalism at the University of Missouri where he leads the Journalism Digital News Archive. Ed will share highlights from a research project led by faculty and experts at Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute and the University of Missouri Libraries. Their report can be found here, Endangered but not too late : the state of digital news preservation. 
• Katherine Boss, Librarian for Journalism, Media, Culture & Communication and Vicky Rampin, Librarian for Research Data Management and Reproducibility, from NYU Libraries are co-principal investigators on an IMLS grant called “Preserving the Dynamic Web,” which is trying to capture, archive, and preserve different types of dynamic websites.
