This month’s news:

  *   Friday, February 3, is the deadline to apply for the 2023 GLAM Cross-Pollinator Registration Awards<https://www.diglib.org/opportunities/fellowships/glam-cross-pollinator-program/> to attend this year’s ARLIS/NA<https://www.arlisna.org/events/2023-annual-conference-> and ER&L<https://electroniclibrarian.org/conference-info/> conferences. Cross-Pollinator awards can be applied retroactively if previously registered, and the application is quick and easy. Eligible to anyone affiliated with a DLF member institution<https://www.diglib.org/about/members/>.
  *   CLIR is now accepting applications from collecting organizations for the digital reformatting of audio and audiovisual materials through the Recordings at Risk<https://www.clir.org/recordings-at-risk/> grant program through April 19. More information is available on CLIR’s website<https://www.clir.org/2023/01/clir-invites-applications-for-recordings-at-risk/>.
  *   Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Stacey Patton, CLIR’s new communications manager<https://www.clir.org/2023/01/stacey-patton-named-clir-communications-manager/>. DLF Forum attendees will know Dr. Patton from her 2020 Forum keynote<https://youtu.be/QZ_OZlriEmw>, as well as her 2021 Forum keynote conversation with Nikole Hannah-Jones<https://youtu.be/6uIfz2jHFuU>. We look forward to working with Dr. Patton, and wish a happy retirement to her predecessor, Kathlin Smith.
  *   New on the DLF blog: Legal and Ethical Considerations for Providing Access to Born-Digital Collections: Copyright<https://www.diglib.org/legal-and-ethical-considerations-for-providing-access-to-born-digital-collections-copyright/> from DLF’s Born-Digital Access Working Group.
  *   Recordings of all keynote presentations from the 2022 DLF Forum, NDSA’s Digital Preservation, and CLIR’s Digitizing Hidden Collections Symposium are now freely and publicly available. Head to the DLF website for video links<https://www.diglib.org/dlf-events/>.
  *   SAVE THE DATE: DLF Forum Virtual Sessions<https://www.diglib.org/dlf-events/dlf-forum-virtual-event-sessions/>, a special online gathering for sessions that were accepted in the 2022 program, but were not able to be presented in person, will take place on April 13-14 and 20-21. NDSA’s Digital Preservation will also host virtual presentations<https://ndsa.org/conference/digital-preservation-virtual-2022> on February 23. Stay tuned for more information on these events in the coming weeks.

Join DLF’s newest working group, the Technology Strategy for Archives Working Group (TS4A)<https://www.diglib.org/groups/technology-strategy-for-archives/>, for our first meeting in the new year. We will discuss potential topics for the group to coalesce around and determine any TS4A affinity groups and/or subgroups to organize in the coming year.

TS4A is a community of practice organized through DLF focused on supporting archives and technology workers, management, and leadership. TS4A is open to anyone interested in these topics regardless of formal role, experience, or institutional affiliation.
