Hi all,

Is your organization assigning DataCite<https://datacite.org/> DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to your local materials, or are you interested in doing so? Assigning DOIs to local research and scholarly materials makes them more FAIR<https://www.go-fair.org/fair-principles/>: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable, but how are organizations using DOIs in practice? Join the Lyrasis DataCite US Community<https://www.lyrasis.org/programs/Pages/DataCite-US-Community.aspx> and DataCite Canada<https://www.crkn-rcdr.ca/en/datacite-canada-consortium> on May 2 for a community call where we will hear DataCite DOI usage case studies from a variety of organizations across the US and Canada. Our goal is to share and learn from each other's experience as we continue to build a community of practice around DOIs (and other persistent identifiers).
