My esteemed listamtes, Thank you for your informative replies. I'd like to take a pdf Ive already scanned into a flash drive and nwo OCR that scanned in PDF file? I was donated Presto! Page Manager version 7.1 and it scans documents on the Canon scanner bed great. But, I don't see how one imports a scanned PDF and then converts that scanned PDF into OCR? There is an Insert an Image I pressed and that did nothing. The goal is ot extract names, phone #s and email addresses in the business cards which were scanned in on a Ricoh all-in-one scanner to PDF and copy/paste that content into Word, Libre Writer? Can your OCR software do that? I recall Abby fine reader could but I lost that when my home desktop bit the dust. I was trying to find the manual to this Presto! Page Managerand that was a heady process. Maybe I should wait for the Criminal Minds or NCIS episode on scanners as they seem to accomplish every tech task by pressing the "any" key and in just seconds your creme brulee is ready!
