Join us for Carto 2023<https://cca-acc.org/conferences/current-conference>-the annual conference of the Canadian Cartographic Association (CCA) and the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives (ACMLA)- held in Calgary, Alberta, June 14th - 16th, 2023. Note that early-bird registration closes on May 15, 2023. Be sure to register<https://cca-acc.org/conferences/current-conference/carto-2023-registration> early to receive a registration discount! The conference will include two keynote speakers, Dr. Peter Dawson (University of Calgary) and Dr. Veldon Coburn (University of Ottawa). Dr. Peter Dawson is the chair of the Anthropology department, and his research focuses on digital archaeology, specifically 3D scanning and 3D reconstructions of heritage sites. Dr. Veldon Coburn is an assistant professor at the Institute of Indigenous Research and Studies, L'Université d'Ottawa/University of Ottawa, focussing on Indigenous politics, dispossession, and policy in Canada. Veldon is Anishinaabe, a member of the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn. Looking forward to seeing many of you in Calgary (or online)!
