This 90-minute symposia is a multidisciplinary perspective of Trauma in the Workplace. A practice-oriented session, using a lens of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA), it will give a quick overview of what is Trauma, how it matters in the life of an individual, a supportive team, as well as an organization. As an outcome, you will be able to visualize an IDEA-based approach in implementing an empathetic care program.

Opening Speech: Janeen Bryant,  Founding Member of Empathetic Museum. Topic: EmTech: Embracing Empathy, Equity, and Trauma in Artificial Intelligence.




Keynote Speech: Dr. Daniel Roberts, Moral Injury Support Network for Servicewomen. Topic: Viewing Moral Injury Through the Lens of Empathy, Equity, and Diversity.

Speaker: Vitor Manoel Marques da Fonseca, Universidade Federal Fluminense. Topic:  Dealing with trauma in archives: an ethical issue.  




Speaker: Kirsten Wright, University of Melbourne, Australia. Topic:  Trauma-informed archival practice.




Workshop: Cultivating Healing Presence: Trauma and Mindfulness as Vital Elements of Self-Care. Facilitated by

Sevdenur  Karaca is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and works as a practicum student at Novo Medical Services.

Asli Baran:  a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and works as a practicum student at Novo Medical Services,  Azerbaijani Women’s Support Centre.
