Perhaps I misunderstood your question. I meant that while depositing in two repositories is not wrong, it's not what I would advise researchers to spend their time/energy doing.

I can certainly live with depositing my data sets in multiple locations but making sure to only create a single DOI, but three replies does not constitute a best practice nor a consensus.
