Greetings all,

A state legislature is looking at ways to safeguard signatures on state contracts that are scanned and then made available online. They are hoping to find other governments that have policies or laws that allow entities to redact original signature images so that it is harder for identities to be stolen.

  1. Is anyone aware of any government policies or laws that allow your institution to redact signatures on documents that are made publicly available?
  2. Is anyone aware of best practices related to this issue?

Thank you all for any assistance you can provide.

Best,

Will
