This is the final call for proposals for presentations at the 2025 Core Faceted Subject Access Interest Group (FSAIG) session during Core Interest Group Week. The session will be held online on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 pm (EST) / 2:00-3:00 pm (CST) / 1:00-2:00 pm (MST) / 12:00 pm-1:00 pm (PST).

We invite you to share your experiences with faceted subject access, whether through the latest developments in faceted subject vocabularies or methods for converting or crosswalking pre-coordinated subjects to faceted vocabularies. Submissions on any aspect of faceted subject access are welcome, including (but not limited to) the following topics:

    Training needs and challenges related to subject vocabularies
    Discovery systems and faceted subject vocabularies
    The role of AI and machine learning in faceted subject vocabularies
    Using tools, programs, or applications to assign faceted vocabularies
    Adding faceted vocabularies to legacy data
    Linked data integration with faceted subject vocabularies
    Use of faceted vocabularies in catalogs or digital repositories
    Issues encountered when working with different faceted vocabularies

Presentations should be 15-20 minutes in length.

To submit a proposal, please email the title and a 150-250 word abstract to co-chairs Su Hyeon Kang ([log in to unmask]) and Andrea Schuba ([log in to unmask]) by Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Time.
