The University of Chicago Library is looking for an eager and motivated early-career or entry-level programmer to work with our Integrated Library Systems group.
Job Summary:
The Programmer Analyst will maintain and develop software applications for use by library patrons and staff, especially the Library's resource discovery layer. Works under supervision with clearly defined goals, but is expected to be self-motivated, work well in a team, have strong analytical skills, be able to creatively solve problems, and communicate clearly.
This is a two year position eligible for benefits.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Install, customize, develop, test and debug applications.
Support existing production applications.
Document code and procedures.
Adapt to and be willing to learn new technologies.
Participate in the 24-hour on-call rotation.
