Overview:
An energetic and resourceful individual is needed to provide Esri's
Educational Services team with high quality, diverse, and easy-to-use data
sets.
Responsibilities:
Develop GIS data storage and retrieval methodologies
Investigate and implement the best data storage and retrieval
applications/technologies
Work with Ed Services team members to identify relevant data sets and data
sources
Search, receive, store, organize, document, track, and provide GIS data to
team members
Ensure all data sets have proper permissions
Ensure all data is clean and ready-to-use (e.g., updated metadata)
Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's in library science, information science, geoscience,
information systems, computer science, or related field
Minimum of three years of experience with GIS data and GIS/RDBMS databases
Minimum of three years of experience performing geospatial data storage,
search, retrieval, and provision
Familiarity with geospatial data sets and data sources (e.g., NGA data)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Recommended Qualifications:
Experience in an education or training environment
