Hello Steve,
Since you're not posting this to the Load Tables listserv, I wonder if you have the ability to edit your load tables at all. This is all something you can do after you've been to the Innovative training (they don't open up that access until you do their training).
If you don't have access to your Load Tables, I'm assuming the records you created are not [all] new records, and you are trying to add data to those records without changing any of the existing data. There's a trick you can do with Create Lists in the character based system to make a list from a spreadsheet, then you make whatever changes you need in Global Update. That might be the approach you're looking for if you don't have access to load tables. Let me know and I can send you the documentation.
If you can access your load tables, you can copy your basic load table to create a new one, change the ov_tag to "i" and then add every field to the ov_protect line. Then, before you load, check the box for "use review files". Then you can use the review file in a List and add your note using Global Update. (I'm sure there's trickier ways to add the note without using Global Update, but this is the simplest. If you must have this done in one go, you'll want to ask the Load Tables listserv.) However as someone mentioned here, ISBN is not a great match point.
Alternatively, Innovative will make you a load table to your specifications, but of course they don't do that for free.
Good luck,

Subject: [CODE4LIB] Marc record creation and matching
Greetings all,
My colleague and I want to create MARC records from a spreadsheet and then import those MARC records into our library system (Millennium) . We want those records we have imported to match on ISBN. We want to keep the integrity of the data in the catalogue (we don't want the newly created records to overlay material currently in the catalogue) and we want, in the same process to be able to insert a note in the records in the catalogue that have been matched with our records created from the spreadsheet.
All ideas will be gratefully received,
Kind regards,
Steve Grasso
