So far nearly 100 people from a dozen countries have taken the brief, 16-question survey on on web archive training needs. Have you? If not, please do! The results of the survey will be used to guide the development of an international curriculum to train people in web archiving.
How do you get training on the skills, tools and knowledge needed to do so effectively? What kind of training would you most like to have? What audiences and needs are most important to start with?
This effort is being organized by the Training Working Group<http://netpreserve.org/about-us/working-groups/training-working-group/> of the International Internet Preservation Coalition (IIPC)<http://netpreserve.org/>. (You can read more about us here: http://netpreserve.org/about-us/working-groups/training-working-group/) The goal of this effort is to give people the critical “how to” information and skills they need for practical, effective web archiving. This will lead to more and better archives, and a larger and stronger field.
The survey will be available until the end of January 2018. The survey is targeted for individual responses, not institutions, so please respond even if a colleague might also be taking it.
