My esteemed listmates,
I mailed by US Post Office by certified mail a check to a financial org in
Texas.
That was done last Thursday.
The org can't accept credit cards nor wire transfers.
A local attorney advised it was better to send certified mail than having
anyone sign for it or return receipt requested.
The tracking number on the certified mail does not appear in the tracking
system on the US Post Office tracking Web site.
Phoned the local Venice PO to ask if they can track certified mail day by
day like Fed Express. They said no. They offered no other advice.
Do you use some other kind of postal service to ensure an envelope with a
check inside is delivered and tracked?
Doesn't Fed Ex track a package hour by hour liek they used to?
I phoned Fex Ex 800-463-3339 and 941-497-4328 and both are automatic and
says they cant connect you to a live agent.
Yet, 4 pages of Googled results tell you that 800 # to reach Fed Ex.
How does one guarantee delivery anymore and even reach the biz that will do
that?
Thank you.
Charles.
