Colleagues:

Are you passionate about implementing innovative digital solutions in a renowned academic environment? Do you have experience in change management and a deep understanding of user adoption practices? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Library Technology Services (LTS) team at Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT).

As a Change Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of our next-generation Digital Repository Service (DRS) and its integration within our current software ecosystem. Your primary focus will be developing service delivery frameworks and change management plans that ensure smooth transitions and minimize end-user change fatigue.

The Digital Repository Service (DRS) provides professionally managed services to ensure the usability of stored digital objects over time. The DRS is both a preservation and an access repository. In other words, its obligations include assurances that stored digital content will remain both viable and accessible into the indefinite future despite a constantly changing technological environment. All objects managed in the DRS will receive the highest level of preservation service consistent with the object’s characteristics and the current technical capabilities of the DRS and its staff.

Responsibilities:
•	Create and update service delivery frameworks and change management plans to facilitate the successful rollout of new services, maximizing service adoption and minimizing end user change fatigue.
•	Proactively understand the university culture and change adoption practices across various customer bases and workflows, working closely with the project team to effectively communicate technology changes to end users.
•	Utilize reference use cases, user stories, conceptual process models and defined core personas, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our diverse customer base and tailoring the user experience accordingly.
•	Collaborate with stakeholders to design user outreach strategies and create collaterals that effectively articulate key messages in terms of business impact, adapting the deliverables to suit different audiences.
•	Make independent decisions within the established parameters set by sponsors and the project manager, ensuring adherence to change processes throughout the project life cycle.
•	Provide training to clients and staff, ensuring their familiarity with new technologies and systems.
•	Work closely with the technical implementation team to ensure clear understanding of business and user requirements during the software development lifecycle, including requirements review, turnover, and signoff of deliverables.
•	Apply Harvard University's IT technical standards and best practices while maintaining compliance with the Harvard University IT Code of Conduct.

Basic Qualifications:
•	Minimum of five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.

The following Additional Qualifications are strongly preferred:
If you meet some, but not all, you are still encouraged to apply; we value employees with a willingness to learn.
•	Knowledge and experience in organizational change management, Agile methodologies, end-user training strategy, and adult learning best practices.
•	Proficiency in facilitation of large groups and conducting training, preferably in a research or academic environment.
•	Strong understanding of key business processes, ability to create internal partnerships, foster collaboration, and recommend strategies that align with organizational culture.
•	Fluent in technology concepts and adaptable to evolving technologies.
•	Experience working in a research or academic environment is preferred.
•	Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
•	Cross-functional project management experience with a focus on change management and communications.
•	Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
•	Completion of Harvard IT Academy Project Management Foundations course (or external equivalent) is preferred.
•	PMP or other relevant certifications and experience, such as Scrum Master, are preferred.

Working Conditions:
Harvard University IT actively supports hybrid work arrangements, allowing flexibility in on-site, hybrid, or primarily remote work. Travel to campus may be required based on business needs and the nature of work, such as town halls or critical meetings.

How to Apply:
To apply for this position, please view the full posting at Harvard Careers and then submit your application along with a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.

•	Harvard University requires pre-employment reference and background screening.
•	Work authorization and/or visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
•	This position has a 180-day orientation and review period.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement plans, tuition assistance, professional development opportunities, commuting options, and various discounts and perks.
