Hi Deborah,
I exported my FF bookmarks as html to a flash drive.
I opened the flash and saw that the file bookmarks.html 4-28-2024 941KB
appeared.
I then opened FF and Imported bookmarks, html but when I highlighted that
bookmarks.html fie ad chose Open nothing happens.
so I closed FF and reopened but stil no old bookmarks.
I then rebooted the laptop and still no old bookmarks.
Which FF version are you using? On Windows 10?
FF has not made this easy.
Thank you,
Charles.

Subject: Re: Importing Firefox Bookmarks and Passwords
I can't help with passwords as I don't store any passwords in browsers, but
for bookmarks, if the previous suggestions haven't worked then the method
I've used successfully in the past is:
In the old Firefox:
1) Go to Settings > Bookmarks > Manage bookmarks
2) Import and backup > Export bookmarks to HTML
3) Save that to your flashdrive.
In the new Firefox:
1) Go to Settings > Bookmarks > Manage bookmarks
2) Import and backup > Import bookmarks from HTML
3) Select the file from your flashdrive
(For my personal device - an Apple so not directly helpful for you - I have
an automated backup running regularly over my home wifi. Then when I get a
new device (or if the old device just dies one day without warning, which
has happened) I can restore from that if needed. At work of course our ITS
does the automated backups.)
