My esteemed listmates,
Hope you're enjoying the new year.
We loan out hotspots for free at the library.
It motivated me to think if patrons could simply connect their Android cell
to a TV with an HDMI slot?
Not sure the difference between a smart TV and a TV with an HDMI slot but
even older TVs with just an HDMI slot would seem to work?
I found this PC Mag article -
https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/connect-your-android-phone-to-your-tv
It links to this
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Aluminum-Pixelbook-Compatible-Thunderbolt/dp/B07THJGZ9Z?tag=p00935-20&ascsubtag=04WJsK4Ex9DDITJSt6T3Dwb...
but points out that it connected to your cell via your charging port so it
might be better to get an HMDI + C connector + power adapter set up as your
cell battery may deplete as you're streaming a movie or bowl game.
They linked to this with a power adapter...
https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Adapter-Supporting-Charging/dp/B06XNS7W63?tag=p00935-20&ascsubtag=04OeQjOHaYhkCvHvEqg6IN9&th=1
Has anyone used these adapters or found better solutions for those who lack
a Chromecast or Roku?
Thank you,
Charles.
