My esteem listmates,

It can be easy to drag files off an Android cell phone via a C-Cable to a
laptop (or flash drive connected to a laptop) by opening 2 File Explorer
windows and then dragging these files to the correct respective files in
Windows.

The reverse I've found challenging.

Say you wish to drag many file folders or subfolders organized in W10 on a
laptop or flash so when you open your cell you can see thse folders -
subfolders as they're organized on your laptop or flash.

So far I haven't been able to even drag any files - folders - sub-folders
from a laptop/flash drive to my Samsung A14 running Android 14 using my
C-Cable.

I looked at these resources (below) but I never get any USB recognition on
my cell phone.

I never get the Charging this device via USB" notification.

I'd prefer not to use any 3rd party apps nor Google.

·  With a USB cable, connect your device to your computer.

·  On your device, tap the "Charging this device via USB" notification.

·  Under "Use USB for," select *File Transfer*.

If the phone and PC are connected to the same local network, you can set up
a Shared Folder, NFS share, FTP server or HTTP server on your PC and access
it from the phone. There are lots of cost-free, ad-free Android apps for
accessing SMB or FTP shares

You can use a file sharing utility like Nearby Share

feature that is available on Windows, Android and other platforms, which
can work over a variety of different network connections (Internet/mobile
data, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet).

If both your phone and your PC support Micro SD cards, you can transfer
files that way.
