Do any of the municipalities around you open up emergency shelters?

The Red Cross has a map that will show activated shelters in a given area that they manage or are aware of: https://www.redcross.org/get-help/disaster-relief-and-recovery-services/find-an-open-shelter.html

Shelters are a bit of an odd thing, because unless it's something very localized like flooding, the town or city that's having the problem wants you to evacuate to where that isn't experiencing the issue, so there needs to be cooperation between them.
