I've created a new web site called Local Search America (
https://localsearchamerica.com/ ), a set of three tools designed to find
and get information from local web sites, specifically local government, TV
stations, and institutions of higher education. The site is free to use and
free of ads.

The tools are:

Local News TV -- Discover local news from 660 TV stations across America by
state and DMA/metro area and browse the latest news via YouTube RSS feeds.

Local Search America -- Find government agencies, TV stations, and
universities by city/state and bundle their web sites into Google searches.

CivicRadius Search -- Visualize government websites within a radius of a
city/state on an interactive map and search them on Google.

There are so many fake sites online that building new ways to find and
explore *real* local information has been much on my mind lately.  I hope
these efforts are useful to you.
