My esteemed listmates,
Here's my follow up regarding cell phone use and safety.
I only learned of this today so I appreciate your thoughts/experience.
To take better control your cell and only have what you want on your phone,
you can "root" your phone.
Apparently this voids the warranty but if you get a new phone annually or
you're about to order a new one is the warranty an issue?
I've heard that often when manufacturers (e.g. Samsung) update your phone
it's not always adding security patches. Sometimes they add items you don't
need and wth rooting you can remove them so your phone can run faster and
leaner or at least without these unneeded additions.
How tech advanced does one need to be to root your phone?
Is it recommended?
Have you enjoyed good experiences rooting your phone?
Thank you so much,
Charles.
