Today, we are excited to announce that Neil Jefferies, Executive Director of the Open Preservation Foundation, will kick off Fedora Camp as our opening keynote speaker!
As a former Fedora Governance member, Neil brings a wealth of expertise to the Fedora community through his leadership in digital preservation and innovation. In addition to his role at OPF, he serves as Digital Innovation Specialist at the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford and is a Director of Data Futures GmbH.
Neil has played a key role in shaping major open standards and community tools, through his time as co-creator of the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF), and member of the editorial board for the Oxford Common File Layout (OCFL). He is also the Community Manager for the SWORD protocol, and a member of the Bit List Council for the Digital Preservation Coalition.
Neil’s keynote will kick off Fedora Camp with a timely and insightful look at the future of digital preservation, open infrastructure, and the continued evolution of community-driven standards.
