Hello,
My name is Ning-Chiao (Sylvia) Wang, and I am a PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am reaching out to invite participation in our research study on mobile digital library accessibility and usability guidelines, known as the Mobile Digital Library Accessibility and Usability Guidelines (mDLAUG).
To participate, you must have at least three years of experience working on digital library (DL)–related tasks or projects and be at least 18 years old.
In this study, participants will be asked to:
1. Complete an electronic survey
2. Participate in an online asynchronous two-week focus group discussion
For the survey, participants will assess how well a selected digital library complies with the refined mDLAUG. The survey portion is expected to take approximately 4–6 hours over two weeks.
For the asynchronous focus group discussion, participants will provide additional suggestions for improving the mDLAUG. The focus group will also collect information about how participants address accessibility and usability issues when creating digital collections at their institutions. The focus group portion is expected to take approximately 3–4 hours over a two-week period.
Upon completion of the study, participants will receive a $200 gift card as a token of appreciation.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Ning-Chiao (Sylvia) Wang at [log in to unmask]
In addition, if you have a question, please contact research assistant Ning-Chiao (Sylvia) Wang (email: [log in to unmask]). The project title: “Creating mobile digital library (DL) design guidelines (mDLAUG) for blind and visually impaired users: Mobile DL assessment and guidelines refinement” (IRB26.148).
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Best,
Ning-Chiao (Sylvia) Wang
