I'll chime in as a current BKC affiliate, and say that I've found the last
couple of months quite valuable.
As the director of an organization, I know that it is unlikely that I will
produce any new research while I am affiliated with the Center. I really
struggle to be as present as I would like to be, since I'm a painfully busy
That said, the conversations I've followed online and the events I have
been to are incredibly rewarding.
This helps to inform the type of impact my library consortium can have and
the types of programs I want to design to create that impact.
I highly recommend people on these lists consider applying.
