Interesting. that's exactly the plan I had in mind, but didn't know about the tools that could do it. I would eventually like to do something like that. Right now, I'm hung up on getting the controllers to work correctly. Matt Zumwalt just emailed me and pointed me to the SALT project. I looked over it a bit and it seems that both that code and the JWA code are doing it the same, and differently than me, which tells me I'm probably wrong.
send me an email with your irc and email details and I'd like to go over some examples, if that's okay...
let me know,

Hey, Adam.
I'm working on something very similar right now and I'd be happy to compare notes. I'm starting to use solrizer (http://github.com/projecthydra/solrizer) to index fedora contents into solr and point blacklight at the resulting index. I've indexed fedora datastreams into solr before, but always with custom programmed solutions. Using a tool like solrizer for that is new to me and I'd love to talk it over with you and see what the best approach might be. Feel free to talk to me in irc or on email.

I'm doing this in Blacklight for starters, but not using the indexing capabilities since I don't know how to do that yet. I've built a simple form that creates a descriptive dublin core xml document for the object and now need to start expanding it with more fields.

I've cribbed a lot stuff from Matt Zumwalt's active fedora wiki and JWA fedora project. I've also looked at Hydrangea which is do for alpha release, I believe, at the OR conference in madrid. I didn't see anything like a dc form in Hydrangea but I didn't look very hard.

In the early 1950s, the term came to be used to describe a new form of music, steeped in the blues, rhythm & blues, country and gospel. Today, it refers to a wide variety of popular music -- frequently music with an edge and attitude, music with a good beat and --- often --- loud guitars.© 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
