Hi Beth,
Thank you so much.
That's such a help when one share details of what you liked about a class
or software not just that it was "awesome."
Did you find any of the non-tech classes helpful?
Ex. Getting to Know your users through interviews and focus groups, telling
the library story through community engagement seem intriguing.
I so like at least the title of one of the tech classes - Excel for
librarians.
I've found too many classes teach you in a wide swath all the skills you
can apply in software but many you will realize over time you rarely use.
How you use Excel in a law firm will be different than in a library which
can be different than in an academic environment.
I'm so interested in these kinds of classes which contour learning the
software and its features to what you will actually use the skills for in
your work environment.
Thank you again and my best wishes to you for very happy holidays.
Charles.

I've found them invaluable. I've taken the six-month series on XML - quite
a while ago - and a standalone class on GitHub.
The pace is not too hard to keep up on top of work but also homework /
exercises that are challenging enough to not let you coast through
passively. In both classes, you were encouraged to work towards a local /
personal project goal you might have, incorporating the class material.
