Hi Elizabeth,
At my previous job, at the Center for Jewish History in NYC, we choose Ex Libris's Rosetta. We were migrating from ExL's Digitool. We also considered a couple hosted open source options and a German system for which the name escapes me at the moment. That migration project happened in 2015-2019.
It was...a choice. It was perhaps the least-bad choice out of a whole bunch of duds. While it's a robust system in a lot of ways, ExL's support during the migration was terrible and they definitely over-promised A LOT, and the system has a lot of weird quirks that we weren't aware of until we were already in it, such as only having Dublin Core descriptive metadata. I've got A LOT to say about it, but I'll leave it at that unless prompted for more. A colleague & I also presented at the ExL Northeast Users Group conference about it in 2018: http://documents.el-una.org/1767/
Cheers,

Subject: [CODE4LIB] Digital Asset Management systems
Hi:
We are looking at Digital Asset Management systems and I am curious what systems other institutions chose and why. If you can, please let me know. I am happy to compile results and send to the group. If you would prefer your response be anonymized or not included, let me know.
Thank you all so much!
Elizabeth
