In case an admin isn't available/doesn't notice this, you can unsubscribe yourself from the mailing list at https://lists.clir.org/cgi-bin/wa?A0=CODE4LIB or via the instructions at https://wiki.code4lib.org/MailingList (In general, doing a web search for any mailing list you're on should turn up instructions to unsubscribe yourself.)
If you still find parts of the list valuable but just don't want the messages cluttering your inbox, you can create a folder and then set up a filter to move everything with [CODE4LIB] in the subject line to your new folder.

EXTERNAL EMAIL ALERT: The sender is not using a Stockton email address. Please use caution.
It looks like there are some great suggestions from Joe and the others here. Hopefully you find something Charles.
Following on from one of Joe's points, i also considered an encrypted third party service. The org I currently work for use one called MyPeopleDoc: https://support.mypeopledoc.com/hc/en-us/articles/203252683-Why-use-MyPeopleDoc-<https://support.mypeopledoc.com/hc/en-us/articles/203252683-Why-use-MyPeopleDoc-> and I find the user experience is largely quite good. But you may be able to find alternatives via search engine. Also I don't know if registration for an organization is fast.
What a third party service like MyPeopleDoc will do is provide your user with an account that they have sole access to. You can send them their payslips, or other sensitive information, to that account, and it provides a way to look after them online, or simply receive them, download them, and delete them.
There are potentially other legal benefits of a service like this versus email: https://support.mypeopledoc.com/hc/en-us/articles/202967976-What-is-the-difference-between-a-document-received-by-email-and-a-document-received-by-MyPeopleDoc-<https://support.mypeopledoc.com/hc/en-us/articles/202967976-What-is-the-difference-between-a-document-received-by-email-and-a-document-received-by-MyPeopleDoc->
So, it may be one option, or not, but thought it worth sharing.
Best,
Ross
